TanWise is built so that we never see your data. This policy is short because there is almost nothing to disclose.
Nothing. TanWise has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. We do not operate any server that receives your data.
If you allow location access, your coordinates are used on your device for exactly one purpose: requesting the UV index and forecast for where you are from Apple Weather. Your location is not stored by TanWise and is never sent to us. Apple's handling of weather requests is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Everything you log (profiles, sun sessions, estimates) is stored on your device. If iCloud sync is available, your data is also stored in your personal, private iCloud database, encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. We have no access to it.
If you enable Health sync, TanWise writes your vitamin D estimates and UV exposure to Apple Health on your device, and reads Time in Daylight to show alongside your history. Health data is never transmitted to us.
Subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details.
You can export all of your data as CSV at any time from Settings, and erase everything by deleting the app (and removing TanWise data from iCloud in iOS Settings).
TanWise is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
